Slidell Little Theatre's 2014-2015 Poster Artists

By Don Redman

We recently unveiled our slate of shows for the 2014-2015 Season, and this year’s contributing artists have done an outstanding job in capturing the essence of each production.

An all-volunteer organization, we rely heavily on people in the community to step forward to offer their time and talent to our little theatre and we have been the beneficiary of many outstanding gifts, including the artistic works of fine artists and graphic artists who have offered up their talents to help promote our productions.

It is our distinct pleasure to introduce our 2014-2015 Poster Artists (listed in order of the show’s production schedule):

Sarah Boudreaux Smith

(Fiddler on the Roof)

Born and raised in Slidell, Sarah is a Pope John Paul II High School Alumnus and volunteer at Slidell Little Theatre.  After continuing her education with a Bachelor's of Fine Art from Spring Hill College, she took up residency in Picayune, MS where she found employment as a Graphic Designer at M&M Printing.  When she is not designing, taking photos or making jewelry, she is busy raising her son, Liam, with her forever supportive husband, Ben.
Aug. 22 - Sept. 7

 Scott Sauber

(Move Over, Mrs. Markham)

Sauber teaches Theatre in the Talented Arts Program at Slidell High School and is a graduate of the University of New Orleans’ Theatre Department. He is a multiple-award-winning actor, light designer, director and educator.

Julia Lavigne

(A Good Old Fashioned Redneck Country Christmas)

Julia Lavigne was born and raised right here in Slidell, Louisiana.  She's even appeared on stage herself in several YATS and main stage productions over the years.  After graduating from Slidell High School (Class of 2009), she moved to Savannah, Georgia to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design to receive her BFA in Communication Arts.  She graduated with honors in June 2013. Now she lives in New Orleans; taking care of children and working as a freelance illustrator and designer.

Glenn Dieterich

(A Midsummer Night’s Dream)

A resident of Slidell for the last 32 years, Glenn is a self-trained artist. A graduate of Loyola University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, he worked for 21 years as a television director at WWL.
He lives in Slidell with his wife, Ila, CEO of the Youth Service Bureau of St. Tammany. They have two grown children and one grandchild. He currently works as a graphic designer in Slidell and was the poster artist for SLT’s Duck Hunter Shoots Angel, and The B.F.G. (Big Friendly Giant).

 Naomi E. Schmidt

(Doubt, A Parable)

Naomi began taking photos when she was a young girl and remains her passion today. She received her BS degree in P.E in '87 and her Master's degree in '92. She has been a resident of St. Tammany Parish and an Adapted Physical Education Teacher since 1987. Her photography has been recognized by the St. Tammany Art Association and the Louisiana Office of Tourism and has graced the cover of local telephone directories.

Lenny Unbehagen

(The Full Monty)

Lenny is from the New Orleans area  (The Lower 9th Ward and Chalmette) and currently resides in Carriere, MS.
